David Iglehart Memorial Tennis Event

About Us

David Iglehart was a special person who added life and joy to others. He was an excellent athlete in any sport, but tennis was especially important to him. David played high school, collegiate and M.A.T.A tournament tennis and taught in the Washington, D.C. area for many years, including at the Potomac Tennis Club and the Regency Sport & Health Club.

The David Iglehart Memorial Tennis Event celebrates David's life, which was tragically cut short by leukemia at the age of 29. The Tennis Event is an excellent opportunity for the community to raise money for an important cause—and for friends to gather for an evening of fun.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma—and to improve the quality of life of patent and their families. The Society accomplishes these goals through research, patient services, professional education, and other services.

  • An estimated 107,900 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with blood-related cancers (leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma) each year.
  • Leukemia and lymphomas are leading fatal cancers in men and women under the age of 35.

All proceeds from The 7th Annual David Iglehart Memorial Tennis Event will be donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
